The tour starts at Potsdamer Platz the completely new erected city center. Here we will see well known buildings such as Sony Center and DB Tower. On our way to the Brandenburger Gate we pass representations of German federal states and the Holocaust Memorial. The Brandenburger Gate is located at Pariser Platz, which is flanked by banks, the Academy of Arts, embassies (including the new U.S. Embassy) and the hotel Adlon. Right next to the Pariser Platz spreads the Government District with famous buildings as Reichstag (since 1999 home of the german parliament and the futuristic glass dome, added by British star architect Lord Norman Foster) and Bundeskanzleramt (chancellery).
